There was a listing for the weasel on Ebay yesterday, but even though it came up in the searches, it said the two originally available had been sold. Too bad, since that's one I really want. |

| Some good models again by Safari- Great Dane looks great and its a European/British model-no cropped ears Watusi bull-looks rather childish but maybe better in real life Tree Kangaroo-will be on my list Long tailed weasel-nice to have a mustelid. Striped skunk-very nice but would have preferred a spotted or hog nosed. Great lakes and South African toobs look very interesting |

| So many treasures next year. The sharks have improved quite a lot, even though the paintjob and material are issues in some models. I despertaely look forward to the great lakes toob. And Despite the wildlife wonders are that big, i really need that red panda. As it looks like one and and not an overcute teddy bear as in other brands |

| Anybody take notice the new African toob disappeared from their 2020 lineup? Unless I'm majorly blind, it is no longer showing on the website anywhere. Not even under the 2020 'Coming Soon' category. |

I don't think it means anything other than a a technical glitch. They probably updated something somewhere on the site and the code for that product got corrupted or deleted and WHAMO! the product no longer shows up. I know that I was supposed to get the Red Fox in stock today, but when the Safari delivery arrived, alas, no WW Red Foxes. What I can only assume was a glitch on the retailer portal had allowed me to order them, even though they were apparently not ready for shipment yet. Safari corrected it, and the WW Red Foxes are back to not being available yet. Not for nothing - I do have the Eagle Owls and Warthogs in stock today (as well as some restocks of the Mothman, Pachycephalosaurus, and Catfish), and the Ichthyosaurus, Sarcosuchus, Sugar Glider, and Watusi Bull will be in stock by early next week! Just in time for Xmas!! Yay! Shameless plug: You can check out what we have in stock and keep up with the new releases through my store (and order them, too!), Mokarran. |

| These mammals looks new models. They are better than the older ones. What do you think, will we see them next year as regular scale models? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| So Safari LTD sent me an email that the new grey wolf and some other 2020 figures were in stock. Got on their website a day later and ordered the wolf along with the new weasel and owl. Take note I was charged for all 3. Recieved the package today with weasel and owl but no wolf. No refund sent to my credit card for the unfulfilled wolf and no email sent saying that the wolf would not be with what I ordered. Why on earth did they make it available to order on the website if it wasn't in stock in the first place? I'm not happy at all and sent an email to customer service. Hoping they respond back and I either get sent the wolf or refunded. |

Hoping they respond back and I either get sent the wolf or refunded. That's quite unfair. However, I believe their custommer service's procedure is very reliable and that they will assume the mistake and refund you. In my opinion, it is fair that they send to you the missing wolf without any extra charges. |

| I just picked up the salmon life cycle set and the Great Lakes Toob. For my purposes, I generally like the Toob... For my ~1/24ish scale Ice Age collection, the Canada goose and great blue heron are smaller that I would have liked. The heron in the Wild Republic river animal tube is bigger, and looks fine if it's painted up. I also made a custom Canada goose from a Schleich grey goose figure that is also a better size than the one in the Safari Toob. I'd have liked a bigger sturgeon too, but it's great just to have one! Otherwise, the bat, dragonfly, snake, gull, salamander, and perch are all great. Even though the two birds are smaller than I would have liked, their paint job is excellent. The lynx is about the same as any previous Safari Toob, just more nicely painted.
I painted up the salmon from the same Wild Republic set, but I'm happy to replace it with the salmon from the Safari life cycle set. I display the eggs, ocean phase, and spawning phase figure, having tucked away the baby phases since they're quite out of scale. |

The TOOB Great Blue Heron is approximately 55mm tall, which is about 1:25 scale. While I don't remember the length of the Sturgeon, I think it, too, is around 1:25 or 1:26 scale. Both are much closer to your desired 1:24 scale than any of the Wild Republic figures you mention. The Canada Goose is around 1:15 scale, if I recall correctly, so it is actually way too large for your 1:24 scale display. The new Canada Lynx is nothing like Safari's previous TOOB figures - the sculpt alone blows their old TOOB figures away, and the paint job is way better than anything they offered in the past. Most of Safari's TOOBS are sub-par at best, with there being a few thankful outliers, but you have to give them credit where it is due, and the Great Lakes TOOB is a home run. Not for nothing, the new South African TOOB Spotted Hyena is approximately 1:24 or 1:25 scale. The Baboon appears to be around 1:20 or 1:22 scale, IIRC. And the Lioness was definitely sculpted to be a Leopard, which would put is at 1:24ish, too. |

| Indeed, thanks for the size info. Not much around 1:32 scale, it sounds like. The quality of the Safari toobs has really gone up, but the lioness looks more like a puma to me without the fluffy tail. |

The Lioness would probably work as a Puma. I was thinking about it being sculpted for the South African TOOB, which is why I thought it was supposed to be a Leopard. But, if you use it as a Lioness, it is approximately 1:30 to 1:36 scale. The male Lion is also around 1:33 to 1:36 scale. Both of those are much closer to the 1:32 scale you want |
