| We don`t see many pigs in this forum, actually I can only remember Kristies cute, little singing pig So let me introduce some piggies In Gascher`s book about schleich there are two small, fat pigs in the Classics-series, no 12206 and 12207. But actually there are 4 (Ok, here are two of the no 12207) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here the 4 together with Westie [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Seen from the front. The two to the left are the oldest and not in Gascher`s. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here the two boars side by side : [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The old boar has no 352, I do not know what number the sow has. Can anybody help ? The two sows. The old one to the left : [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Hello Susanne. I believe that the pigs you've pictured here are a 12206 Eber, 352 Eber and two of the three 352 Ferkel variants. There are also 352 Schwein and 12207 Schwein not pictured here. |

Wonderful !!! I love to learn something new I was almost sure that the "newer" sow was the 12207, as she is also pictured in the Pig Family here : [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The other sow is also somewhat bigger than the piglets that I have seen.. Can you or anybody show me pictures to illustrate ? |

Thankyou I always use this site + Torben`s + Gascher`s. But, but...they all prove that I am right Please tell me why you do not think they are ? I am very confused. Here (from left) The mini, one of the piglets (ferkel), the sow 12207 and the sow 352, - I am 99,9999999% sure [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

It's really hard to tell for me, given the angles from which all the photos in question were taken. Are there variants of the 352's? The photos on Tierwelten show none of them with painted hooves, etc., so is the 352 sow really that? I think it is a 12207 sow next to it, but maybe someone can provide commentary on all of these... :) |

| Yes, you are right, the angle can make it difficult. But when the size, position of legs, - and esp the ears is right, it MUST be the same . I have tried here to take pictures from the same ancle, but Straßbergers have taken the picture lower than I can. Also they take better photoes than I do. However let me try : [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I think this is a very good discussion, because esp the sow no 352 is very rare, - or at lest it is very rarely recognised Please let me know what you think . And, yes, there must be others who can comment on this, please, please |

| Oh! I thought it was all the same pig in different stages of evolution towards the restaurant! ...and I think people in this forum love pigs, I have the last Schleich wild boar family, the Schleich warthog and the red river hog was one of the most voted in Mojo poll! I also have a very small plastic pig but I can't find it, maybe too many foxes in my boxes! |
