| Over my time of buying up animal figure lots from Ebay, I've accumated a few that I can't seem to identify. Some are most likely unbranded or knockoffs of bigger brands, while others are from brands I'm not familiar with. So I figured I'd post a few here in the hope of being able to figure out where at least a few of these came from. If you have any info about these, please comment below. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Marked Winco China Apparently there's a supermarket called Winco, so there's always the possibility that this figure was part of a toy line made by them. | The yellow lion is a copy of the lion on right of this picture. They were made in Hong Kong in the 70s-80s and usually came as a pair with the lioness that is looking behind her. They usually came as a set with other zoo/wild animals in a poly bag. | The yellow unmarked lion might be a Lido, but can't prove it. The others all look like generic made in China toys. |

The yellow lion IS from Marx, well at least a copy of the original made in the 60's for their animal kingdom collection, and the "lioness that is looking behind her" is actually the leopard from the same collection. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

No, the first lion is already a knock-off of a Hausser-Elastolin figurine, the next 4 are Britains knock-offs on your picture Taos. The yellow lion you referring to might be an american figurine from the 1950's or 1960's, as they used a lot of these elaborate uni-colours in that time. In Germany they rather used brown, white or gray plastics. |

Yes you are right! In the late 1950's up to the early 1980's very much knock-offs were made either in Hong-Kong or Singapore, later China... |
