Lioness 2019 [Schleich 14825]

Well, I know it's one-year-late walkaround and most of you are familiar with this figure and seen it or bought it at your local store.  But I think it's a shame there's no walkaround here (except Gwaine's 2019 synoptic) 'cos it's a quite beautiful figure and such an iconic animal. I have to say though I know nothing about photography and I just use my mobile phone for pics, so don't pay too much attention to ugly details like some some weird blue spots (that are actually dark grey) etc...

The first thing you notice in the current Schleich Lioness is that she's actually very slim and doesn't look like most of the other well-fed Schleich animals. Her ribs are evident on both sides and she looks strong and muscular. She has a beautiful light sandy brown fur and her pose (although common) is pleasant and lively.
Overall it's a huge improvement to the previous 2014 model and for me the best lioness Schleich has ever done. She's a good alternative to the mighty 2006 Papo lioness, especially for those who feel that she's too big for their collection.

This is actually a really nice lioness! And it doesn't have an anthropomorphized facial expression like so many of their recent figures (at least promo pics of) seem to have.

I will not get this, as I see no reason to replace the Papo figure I have, but this is very nice and I would consider if if I did not already have one!

No, that's not a useless walk around in any way. Not everyone can find Schleich locally that easy and I've never seen this lioness in real actually since strangely there are distribution problems with Schleich in my country. Something incredible once I can tell more than 50 shops selling Schleich around. The figure is pleasant, contrarily to the previous version. I like that it is not chubby and the ribs and narrow body are two things that fit better my likings. The muscular expression is good and the face is OK, maybe it should be more feline but when compared with the previous, it is far better than the weird predecessor. We have better lionesses around but this one surely deserves to join the best.

A lovely lioness !! I think she is quite young, I think. Just learning to hunt, perhaps, and I am sure she will make it and grow more powerful

Yeah, I also think she's young but not learning to hunt. She knows very well what she's doing!

I have this young lady too.Thank you for a great walkaround. Your photos made me take another look at the model and I discovered details I have not seen before. I agree with others here, she is a nice young lioness.

Yes, I often experience the same : Good photos can make me appreciate details I never saw before in my models

These photos are informative and good-setup. This is the first time that I view this model in detail from different angles, and I find it quite realistic and energetic on both of the look and the posture. I almost thought that Schleich now mainly produce adorable-toy animal, but this one is not and I'm considering to get it.
