Susanne's new models 2020 , December 25th: christmas present from me to me :D

For almost a year, I have succeded not to buy new models.  
There are several reasons, but let's pass that  
Well, as you can see [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] , thanks to good friends, I have not at all been  model-starving .

But when I saw the new models on this forum, my break pads wore completely down, and I went totally shop-amok    

Fortunately neither the new Papo,CollectA, Mojo nor Bullyland are available ( yet), but I am very, very happy with what I got

Weird, that new Schleich kitty looks fantastic from this angle in your photo!
I really like the bush baby and the red panda! Such a shame they have to be that big..

P.S. that's a WHALE of a catfish! The crazy thing is catfish do grow humongous in real life.

The size isn't even that unusual.  

I found this one , - 736 pounds ( 333 kg)

According to the article it took 12 men and a crane a day and a night to get it out of the water, - unfortunately it died from the stress before they could put it back

The end of your sabbatical is the best news this forum received for a while.
You always get so many wonderful figures and your pictures are perfect!
I love particularly the picture of the trio of large friends. No, not only because of the beautiful fox but the bushbaby and red panda are equally fantastic! It doesn't matter how much I narrow my collection, the gazelle, weasel and porcupine are mandatory. The owl and skunk are also very tempting. Well, time to stop or...

Yes. And carnivorous or hoofstock can be ginormous too. But I don't want a ferret of the size of a polar bear nor a duiker that is like a bison. The figure of Safari LTD is a small Ameiurus catfish, the giant catfish in the photo below is the Mekong giant catfish. Different species, different genus, even different families. So as related as a marmoset is with an human

Wow. Excellent Susanne! I have eyed up the safari great lakes toob for the grey Heron and the Canada goose. Two animals I am surprised that seem rarely represented in toy form. The life cycles are very interesting, especially the salmon and not so especially the spider ha! The owl really is beautifully done, a definite improvement on my schleich version but one I am trying to ignore for now. As Roger said the large trio are fantastic but I think you'll find the Bushbaby is actually a real bushbaby.

These are really great additions, I didn't realise it had been a year.

I am still wondering if I should buy the Safari toobs. They are £15 roughly per toob. Is there any way you can buy them as single pieces?

The only place I know is HERE , but they don't have this toob (yet).

And even I already have most of these models, it brings me joy to watch them on your wonderful photos
But also, now I know that I have to get this Sarcosuchus ... I was thinkong to skip it.. but No way !
I really like your choice of models... and I want to share, that my favorite model from Safari 2020 is this so beautiful Great Dane. I am in love with it ! It is just perfect !
I am also impressed with these toobs. I am sure, that the sculptor of the African one is the same of the Monkeys toob ..and it is for sure a new sculptor for Safari ... and I really like his\her works.
I really hope, that this sculptor will make some bigger models for Safari in the future.
The big wonderful Red fox is really really nice and it is a must have for Roger`s collection :)
The Bush Baby is another really wonderful model and Susanne, I think, you need to get also the Sugar Glider ... it is as nice as the Bush baby :)

And last, Susanne, unfortunatelly,  I have to disappoint you about the real photo of this giant catfish ... beacuse it is not very ``real``..
The human figure (or at least the legs, which we see) has been put there with photoshop and it doesn`t belong to this photo. I have seen many photos on internet, created unrealistically, to make some animals to look impressively huge . And this photo is one of them

very beautiful and interesting Safari great lakes toob and the sarcho is wonderful!

South africa toob is very interesting, especially the birds.

Eagle owl is other great figure.

Congrats Susanne! You have so many beauties there. I'm so happy to see you so often on the forum again, and that you have new models to show. Your photos are beautiful and informative as alwais.

The sarcosuchus is marvelous. it is much nicer in person than in the catalog. I was positively surprised when I got it. The Great Dane and the kitty and some others are also must haves for me.

When I saw that Modellpfereversand had a new colour Breyr Icey stablemate for sale, I could not resist, of course  

It came in such a strange box, - seems that Breyer has gone totally " Buy something you do not know what is" amok

But fortunately the seller knew what was inside, and out of the backdoor of the box ran a dark chestnut Icey and a kind of pony foal  
( No pure bred Icelandic foal can get the tail up that high, because they have a down sloping loin. )

Another wish came true : The grey Orlov trotter from Mojo
And I had to get the Safai tinker also, - saving shipping, you know

At long last, the dark trotter has his beautyful, grey friend

I like this model, but it is almost impossible to compete with the old one the Carnegie Collection

Another wish came true : The clouded leopard from Mojo , with the latest new coat  
Aaaand, the new Safari wolf had to come also , she is lovely.

Another conga line now :
The first Clouded leopard had lots of details in the face, and white chest.
When I thought I bought a new variation, I certainly did, but it was just less detailed  
But NOW I got the right one

The new Schleich dromedary was a must !!!

And  - YES !   Now my collection of Mojo dogs is complete, - so far  
We will not mention the poor, little x-chested Schleich Ridgeback with the maniac eyes

Beautiful breyer, orlov trotter, marine reptile, wolf (the 2nd best model ever produced), and the clouded leopard (MUCH better painting than before), camel and pack of doggos. Big congrats and nice job saving on shipping.
