| Ι agree, the only complaint I have is that this particular pose of the Fallow Deer has been repeated at least a couple of times (Nyala, Springbok), but I guess there are limitations when you want to represent a walking pose. |

It is well observed but considering the number of CollectA ungulates, some repitition would be expected. I think however that there is a good diversity of poses, from standing, walking or running. For example, Schleich last 3 antelopes are all standing, oryx, kudu and gazelle. Papo, on the other hand, made all antelopes in different poses, impala, kudu, gemsbok and gnu. |

But in fact, it is not. - I am seriously considering buying another Barbary sheep to make them fight each other. - I bought the mouflon in that toy shop close to my job (separately from the set) and ordered the Barbary sheep from my favourite Ebay seller. - I have seen mouflons in the wild and Barbary sheep in zoos. _________________ Schleich 370 CollectA 76 Papo 61 Safari 24 Yujin 15 Southlands 12 Mojo 14 Maia&Borges 5 Bullyland 1 Recur 1 Homemade 3 Bootleg 1 Total 582

| Nice sheep! Maybe you should also consider the Collecta Mouflon too, that is quiet different in color and pose. |

| I assume my mistake. I never acquired the Mountain set once I have good representatives of the three species. I am most interested in that mouflon and I assumed these figures would be included in regular range soon or later. The fact is that it hasn't happened and now I have my doubts it will happen. The set worth the money once all three figures on it are very beautiful and so interesting animals that it wouldn't hurt me to have more representatives of these species. I also have never seen it for sale locally what is a half-excuse. Just as Kostas, I recomend that you get the CollectA mouflon, it is a great model and completely different. Safari's bighorn is also very interesting and correctly sized. It is not easy to find anymore but it worth to get it if you ever get the chance. Once there's no wild sheep in Safari range, it could be a good oportunity to the company to introduce a Dall's sheep in their WS North American series.

| I have these both in my collection, and I bought the mountain set altogether. I got it quite early on when it was released because I knew it wouldn't be in production long (due to the more unusual species)
The other two mouflon I own are by Papo and CollectA. I got my CollectA off my usual provider and my Papo in a secluded toy shop in Wales. (Before seeing the Papo mouflon I didn't know the figure existed) _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ADAM [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] "Our planet is in crisis. | V MammalsM) Even-toed ungulates4) Bovidsa) Caprines 2. Wild goatsSpecies : Tibetan antelope, mountain goat, chamois, Alpine ibex, markhor, Himalayan tahr [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Figures on this picture (from left to right) : - CollectA 88721 Chiru (2015-still in production) - Schleich 41459 Mountain Animals (2017-2019) - Schleich 14236 Chamois (1997-2001) - CollectA 88641 Markhor (2013-still in production) - CollectA 88758 Himalayan Tahr (2016-still in production) Fun facts : - I lost money on wild goats as I bought each figure from the mountain set separately, for a higher price than if I had purchased the set. - I included the chiru on this family picture because it is closely related to caprines despite being called "antelope". - I haven't figured out yet whether my mountain goat is a male or a female : I don't know if what it has between its back legs are testes or a teat. - I considered replacing my old Schleich chamois by Papo's but the only one I found in that shop close to my job had a broken horn. Anyway, the vintage Schleich model is still very decent-looking today. - Like most ungulate figures from that brand, CollectA's caprines are wonderful models, one of the brand's strenghts, undoubtedly. However, while they did perfectly well with the tahr, they didn't got the markhor's eyes right (Pardo successfully repainted them). I don't really understand this mistake from a brand which is usually so careful about details. - I have the chamois from my childhood, bought the ibex and mountain goat in local shops and ordered all the other CollectA figures from my favourite Ebay seller. - I have seen chamois in the wild. I have seen Alpine ibexes, markhors, tahrs and mountain goats in zoos (most of them in the menagerie which has probably the most amazing goat collection in France) but I have never seen a Tibetan antelope. Update : Were added to the collection - Papo 53047 Chamois (2012-2019) - Bullyland 64450 Chamois (2012-still in production) For further information, please check the addition topics. | All of these are very nice models. My mountain goat and ibex are the older Schleich versions while my chamois is Papo. Though, I agree with you that the Schleich model is still very decent. If I ever get a chance to get it for an affordable price, it won't hurt me to use it together with Papo's. It is strange but I think I never acquired the tahr something to confirm. I have the same chiru and markhor, not many to choose but we are lucky CollectA released them. Maybe my favourite of this group is really that chiru, it is an incredible piece with these delicate horns. |

| Hurrah an update on your splendid collection Some amazing species there and figures too. I have all these figures except for the chamois, where I have the Papo & Bullyland figures. The mountain goat you have is a female as she has very subtle udders so you might want to find her a mate (CollectA's billy is smaller than her) _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ADAM [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] "Our planet is in crisis. Lots of trades/sales from Kelly (Pipslxch) and Taylor (Taos)
Birds and viscacha made by Jean (Lucky Luke) are in the development process
And many, many more _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ADAM [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] "Our planet is in crisis. | hey Rtas, nice to see your thread updated after so long time! Bovids are some of my favourite mammals so I like your last post a lot :) I was unaware of Schleich chamois. I only knew Papo and Bullyland but both are too big for me. Schleich looks god, if only have thinner horns! I would love to change my disappointing CollectA mountain goat by your excellent Schleich one Menagerie is the only place where I saw mountain goats, and the almost only where saw markhor. They also have grey goral, bharal, West Caucasian tur... and now they added Transcaspian urial... they have a really wonderful caprine collection. As you know, Tibetan antelope is completely absent from whole world zoos. I assume that, like saigas, they can't be kept in lowland zoos due to respiratory issues. _________________ My collection:- (Details):

| It's good to see you back! I also have the CollectA's chiru and the Schleich Mountain Goat. However, my goat is a different model, the one sold separately prior to the pack. In my humble opinion, mine is a sliiiiiightly better, since I find the face looking of your rendition a bit strange (I think it's because of the nostrils) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]My chamois is from Papo, we both share the same markhor but I don't have any ibex (despite I like it) nor tahr (CollectA's rendition somehow does not convince me...) |

Musk oxSpecies : Musk ox [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Figure on this picture : Schleich 14332 Musk Ox (2004-2007) Fun facts : - The Schleich musk ox is the figure I wanted the most when I started collecting again, before I knew CollectA existed, that's why it is much dearer to my heart than the CollectA rendition even though the later may be better. - It remained a holy grail to me until I got it from another collector from my region. I bought many wonderful figures from that girl, worth 130 € in total, but the musk ox remains my greatest addition from that day. - I have seen musk oxen in only one zoo, specialized in European fauna, but I think they have been replaced by Przewalski horses and no zoo close to my hometown keeps them anymore. |
