These are the old retired Schleich female from the 90s and a more recent baby.

Thanks, they look a bit smaller than most modern hippos, is that right?

Yes, they are smaller than the last Schleich and CollectA, and obviously Papo.

Old Schleich hippos have always been undersized in my opinion. They still are great models though, among the best vintage figures from the 90s in my opinion.
