| I thought i would share some of my zoo adventures with you all, and put up a couple, okay a lot, of photos i've taken at various zoos in australia of some of the big cats that i've visited. The pictures were taken at 4 or 5 different zoos that i've visited with my partner and step-son. yes the zoo trips were for him I'm only going to share my big cat photos at the moment, but i do have photos of most of the animals on display at the various zoos, i took literally thousands of photos at each zoo, but i wont subject you to that just yet lol Forgive the quality of some of the photos, i'm still learning the finer points of photography. | What gorgeous pictures, Ben They make me feel like I am there right next to you and the big cats Gosh, My heart missed a beat at the photoes of the king cheetah, - ooooooh, it is a fantastic animal ! Do you know if they try to breed them ? I suppose they are awfully rare ? And the serval, - I wonder if I can have one in my home Nono, I am joking, it will probably eat my other crtitters And I am not a fan of having wild animals in private homes anyway, - but it sure is beautyful !!! Please, please keep pictures commig, Ben I will certainly |

| The king cheetahs are at Western Plains Zoo Dubbo, in western New South Wales. Of a litter of four cubs, two males and two females, the two female were king cheetahs, and named Halla and Kyan. The parents of these four cheetahs hadn't bred before, so these four are important to the gene pool. As far as i'm aware, they were'nt aware that both parents had the recessive gene required to breed the king variety. As for the servals, they were at Mogo Zoo, and had a keeper talk with the keepers inside the enclosure playing with them. i'll see if i can dig up some of the other photos i took. At Mogo you can pay to have an "encounter with the Servals quoted from their website - Quote :
- Here is your opportunity to get up close and personal with two of our hand-reared African Servals. You will come face-to-face with these striking slender cats as they frolic and play around you. This amazing hands-on experience will take place inside the Serval exhibit and a keeper will be present to answer all of your questions.
Cost: $200 (inc. GST) for 2 people (plus admission fee) for up to 30 minutes The photos of me feeding the tiger, white lion and puma are because I did the "Zooventure Tour" at Canberra National Zoo and Aquarium, where i had a Grizzly Bear lick pureed vegies off my hand, hand fed (with tongs lol) a Tiger a Puma and a White Lion and hand fed and patted an Eland. |

For $200 I'll let you take a kitten home for a day!!! These are one of my favorite cats and mine are hand raised from babies so they are like big house cats, only you can't just leave them alone in the house. Even though they are friendly they can hurt someone if you don't read their body language and pay attention to them. I took some photos while I was in FL last month but most of the time I was alone so I didn't have very many good ones because I had to hold the camera while I was in the pens or through the cage bars, but here are a couple of them.
