| I just found an old/new store stock carded set of monkeys, they look like Nayab to me. Has anyone seen such a set? Any interest in them, or any idea of value? The figures are just marked China, but they look like the same style as Nayab to me. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I love when these figures are presented in their packaging. There is always something to learn. I really have these figures, they are great little models. We know them as Nayab but they are likely Toy-Mate models. Yes, the blister also seems to confirm it. Notice the manufacturing information: Manufacture Date: NOV 2009 Batch Number: TM-K09145 Batch number is the manufacturing batch, a number provided by the manufacturer and not by the seller, MTC. Notice that it starts with TM, it is usually the initials of the manufacturer... Toy-Mate... I know it is painful to change everything but I think it is time to check really what is Nayab and what is not, even if people will tell them as Nayab forever. - SUSANNE wrote:

Very interesteing that they come from Australia...or is there also a Brisbane USA ? The "CA" after Brisbane stands for California. So yes, it is USA. |

| Nayab is a Hong Kong-based company that makes figures for numerous distributors (http://www.nayab.com.hk/). So yes, they were probably produced by Nayab but marketed by MTC Trading Company. |

| Yes, here is the direct link to the corresponding Nayab set. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Product number 178. However, I still have my doubts if it is originally Nayab or Toy-Mate. Maybe it is not that important. |

| I think Nayab is the manufacturer and MTC is repacking and selling them under their brand. This happens a lot with toys, especially those out of China. _________________ Tim :) ToyAnimal.info - The Toy Animal Collecting Wiki Animoblog Animobil.info Playmobil Animals

| If mine had been the foxes set, I might keep them. Fortunately (unfortunately?) I don't collect primates.
Adam, I will PM you.
Interesting that they pluralized the fox set correctly- 4 foxES- but not the monkeys one- 4 monkey. |

| I didn't have my phone with me, but I was just at a small hobby shop and they had a toob with what looks like Nayab monkeys, also one with birds (and a less interesting looking one with 'wild animals'- looked like the ultra common things like polar bear, lion, cheetah etc.). Any interest in them? I can try to get back for photos or to pick one up, they were $10 each. No manufacturer on the figures or toobs, just a distributor. |
