Mojo 2020 - Emperor scorpion

We have a second arthropod by Mojo .. and I think especially happy will be Blaine

After the wonderful tarantula from last year, now we have this nice Emperor scorpion :



Just before strarting with the walkaround , to clear something about the colour..
On my photos it looks too much red, that is because of the darker background which I used..
On real it is darker ... but still, I think it is a bit too much redish .

This is not an Emperor scorpion ... as far as I understood, the Palamnersus is actually a Giant Forest Scorpion ...
but I got a chance to show it here, because it looks close to Emperor scorpion also in size .
I am not a fan of real stuffed creatures ... but I found this one for sale in Bulgaria, almost for free, so I was interested to see how it looks on real.

Blaine surely is happy, all major brands are releasing "bugs" and Japanese companies are also obsessed with them. Though, I am also very happy, I love this figure because it has an impressive level of detail, it must be a fantastic feeling to put our hands in this model and perceive every single detail.
I know that people favour versions with more massive apendages but I actually think this figure has a pleasant balance in this regard. Redder colours seems to be a kind of Mojö trademark, though, emperor scorpions have some reddish color in their pincers and telson, I guess. I am also happy because the only scorpion I have is the Papo model, thus, a different species.
Thanks for all these great comparisons and also for showing your giant forest scorpion. Actually, both often compete to be the world's largest scorpion.
I think that your animal is a (Heterometrus laoticus) Asian forest scorpion, instead of (Heterometrus swammerdami ), but it is really hard to determine. Maybe this document can help you.

Blaine, sorry, I didn`t know that you already reviewed this model . I made all these closer photos especially for you .. haha , but you have it, so you can see all details better on real :)
