Schleich 16334 or 16334-1

Hi folks,
I was wondering the differences between these two German shepherds (16334 and 16334-1). Gascher's Catalog: Collector's Guide for Schleich Animals says that the 16334-1 is the old model but it's difficult to see the difference's between them because I have only one. So, no possibility to compare these two models closely. Here is my German shepherd.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

WOW !!!! You have the rare one which was only made in 04

 I think Gascher's made the same trick with this Alsatian as they did with the black Labrador and the Sct Bernard ( the latteer the worst, because they omitted the REAL rare one ).

I have checked my two sitting Alsatians, and the both vary in paintwork somewhere between the two in the book

And a very very interesting one too- I was aware of some differences in the black labs but never knew it was the case for their sitting GSD!
I don't have this model yet, but thank you so so much Susanne for the comparison- so useful to see!
And I'll keep a lookout for these two now- they are wonderful models!

I really like the sitting GSD. Hadn't seen that one before.

Hmmm, I think that actually there is so little difference that they are all 16334.
If I compare to the standing one, which was also made in 2003 in China :

the differences are so small I would not call them differnet models at all

You might be right, Susanne. Maybe the year stamp at the bottom tells the difference: 16334-1 made 2003 and 16334 made 2004? At catalogue the 16334 version looks a bit darker.

Well, the moulds were all made in 2003, so they are all stamped 2003, but they were first in the market from 2004.

For all the years where Schleich has marked models with year, that is how they have done.
If you have any new 2020 models, check, and they are marked 2019

So interesting to see! I never knew there was a book of them ( Possibly Gascher's?)
