| The book on hollowcasts looks especially fantastic. Does it show many animal figures? Does the book on civilian figures also have animals? |

| Great books Taylor, I would love to add them on my bookshelves. Is there a lot of good things for us or it is also full of toy soldiers ?
I have myself a book about Clairet, one about Lineol and one about French hollowcast lead and Aluminium wild and farm animals. I will make pics |

Re: "The Great Book of Hollow Cast Figures"Considered the definitive reference work on British Hollow Cast figures with the emphasis on Non Military and Civilian figures by Britains and over One hundred other companies. 590 colour illustrations, 340 pages showing 11,000 items. I have a copy of this book and it is truly amazing. As British companies moved away from lead to plastic it is also useful to identify early plastic models derived from the earlier lead issues. Re: "Britains Civilian Toy Figures"Norman Joplin has collaborated with Arnold Rolak, Philip Dean and Joe Kunzelmann to produce the most comprehensive book on Britains Civilian and non military lead figures. The Research undertaken for this definitive reference work, has taken many years. The book is hard backed, coffee table style. It has over eleven hundred color photos and covers all aspects of non military, civilian figures and vehicles manufactured by Britains Limited during the period 1880 to 1966. Beginning with the Mechanical Toys of the 1880s the book traces the history of all subjects including: Farm, Zoo, Circus, Garden, Lilliput, Race horses, Scouts, Civilian Vehicles, Hunt, etc.
Another book worth considering is: "HOLLOW CAST CIVILIAN TOY FIGURES"The most comprehensive book on Civilian toy figures since the publication of "The Great Book of Hollow Cast Figures" 13 years ago. 384 pages 1500 ( One Thousand Five Hundred color photographs) covering over 70 different companies. Thematically arranged and documenting the seventy three year hollow cast production period. A sequel to Britains Civilian Toy Figures and an ideal companion volume. Philip Dean was once again responsible for the superb photographs in the book and is co-author. Information from: http://normanjoplin.com/books.htm _________________ Chris

| Wow- so many interesting catalogues! Imagine having TAW made into a book, with all the information stored in one collector's guide! And then every time new figures were added, every few years, you could update editions of it! It would be a collector's dream! |

| Hello, in TAW you can find the function "PRINT" but it is not activated. I think we can make a big catalog if we want too. Benno |

| I wonder if we should consider adding a reference book page to the TAW? Just a listing of the bibliographic info about each reference book so people could try to find them in the wild or at least know the subject has been covered at some point? _________________ Tim :) ToyAnimal.info - The Toy Animal Collecting Wiki Animoblog Animobil.info Playmobil Animals

An excellent idea Tim. Then we would know what ranges etc... have been the subject of a publication. _________________ Chris |

Hello, I agree! A good idear. We should show the source of our meaning. Does it make sense to show the source and when possible to link to a shop (Amazon) where we can buy the source/book? I think Amazon will give us a little gift/money when Amazon can see that the sell is coming from TAW. Benno. |

| Amazon affiliate links? Possible maybe, we would have to look into it. It's a bit tricky since we are sort of a non-profit group but are not registered as such anywhere. I actually pay all the bills and am the technical contact along with Roger as a back up. The PayPal link drops into my PayPal account. Next time bills are due we will do a little fundraiser I think. I have left work for now and have more constrained income so would prefer to to have to cover so much of the annual expenses. It runs about $150 USD a year to pay for the hosting account and the domain name renewals. _________________ Tim :) ToyAnimal.info - The Toy Animal Collecting Wiki Animoblog Animobil.info Playmobil Animals
