| I seem to remember little animals like those foxes, sold in sets of 3, from my childhood. All I can recall is that they were made in Hong Kong and aimed at the decorator/collector market more than as children's toys. I remember them being sold with tourist or souvenir stuff. The boxed ones were Bakelite or something similar, I remember very similar models that were bone china but sometimes not boxed. Sometimes the figures were chained together.
I really like the little dinosaur- it does have a charming face. |

| Wonderful idea to have so many of a herd animal, I think a lot of us get caught up in the collector's habit of buying one-of-each, whether that's one per species or one of each brand's releases, it's a really refreshing change to see a big herd made up from the same figure! |

| Great herd! As George already said, many of us tend to collect just one of each, but aesthetically, are large bunch together looks fantastic. Because of their colours and horns, the oryxes work very well when you have lots of them. |

thank you George! It's wonderful actually to see the very different ways that everyone does their collecting thing. Even with this subject of plastic animals - the diversity in collecting styles is wonderful! I've been lucky and never had to make any 'hard' decisions regarding my growing herds and flocks, I never restrict my heart from what it loves - if I see it and love it - then it's in! I've always been attracted to collecting lots of the same ones. Though I don't do it with every figure, just a select few that I really love. And it's like they are in their family groups in the wild, safe and happy. - Taos wrote:

| I really love the brightly colored camel and reindeer, very unique find! And glorious herd of oryx. I feel like I see little family sets of woodland animals in threes like those foxes often on ebay. I am always tempted to buy them, but rarely have the funds (they are always competing with something I more actively collect, haha). Squirrels, raccoons, foxes mostly. Yours are really beautiful and elegant! |

Yours are really beautiful and elegant! Thank you so much Jill, yes those 2 are rather unique. And my glorious oryx herd I can't stop looking at them all. They are here beside my desk so I see them every day and it makes me really happy I understand what you mean, about seeing tempting figures but not on your active collecting list. I am like that too. I have to weigh up my preferences against the item cost plus the postage cost. Thank you for your lovely comment :) I was surprised by how much personality they little foxes have. They remind me of a more nostalgic time ? no mobile phones, dark evening, crackling fire going, maybe a bit of a wind outside going by the windows |

| yesterday I received a wonderful package from Jill, all the way from America! A few more beauties on my wish list have now joined my collection. I'm so happy to have them! I didn't realise just how exquisite and delicate the little Disney zebra and giraffe is until I held them. They have such animation in their faces and just fit in perfectly with my more serious 1/32nd models. The zebra has blue round alert ears! I think that is why I love her so much. And the giraffe has such a delicate and pretty face with big beautiful eyes and a finely detailed pair of ossicones. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]the blue ears [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]the very gorgeous horse! such a beauty :) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]with my Elastolin mother (and baby) zebra from Christophe :) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]and with the Elastolin mum and baby, the smaller Wildrush zebra, and the far left larger sized eating Yotsuba zebra the Wildrush and Yotsuba are both from Brett :) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
