Hello to you all, The other day I just want one, weather the storm, I leaf through a book on African wildlife and suddenly I get to the page of birds, more beautiful than others. An idea comes to me, I'll try to make one of these volatile I m team and that, my tool and especially my little wire that shook me useful. steel structure in place it just have to give form and in two and three movement here I am on the trail Phill, Harriet and Ana finally in my mind! My first bird I launched into a guinea Vulturine, I love the colors and it's not too big to start. I bought a paste special in a DIY shop and here I am on a roll. The result is quite satisfactory, I let it dry for painting the next day. Here I am an idea, must try the snake a wader I am secretary to the fore. I'm looking for the book page where I found this brilliant bird of prey that is the snake. What chalenge .... and attack. This task with trepidation. I try to shape sculpt an animal! so majestic the finished result I'm pretty happy with the raptor. To my taste lacks a little height. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Far from perfect, it still gives off a certain grace and elegance, that can not remain indifferent? The next day, that my figures are standing there, I understand how you could make legs and bend them and give them the look you desire. This is the critical time of finalizing this small model, and give life we must paint easier said than done, Ralf and other friends are not in my hand to advise me. So let me, despite the limited experience I throw myself into the water! The figurine is finished, I enjoy my work and told me not bad for a beginner. Although there remain tremendous progress to make but the path is drawn. I'm starting another challenge, increasingly high and consider whether my figures are relatively robust and remain stable despite their aesthetic poses?

Thank you Ana I now better understand the fantastic art sculptor. From nothing creates an object and give it life between his fingers and tools. It is a real happiness, real birth Thank you Chris, your words go straight to my heart. in terms of the mass that I bought in a hardware store "Cultura" WePAM Our porcelain modeling Dry air (without baking) soft and nice shape, very fine details and highly shock resistant when dry. I paid the box 145gr - 4.50 Euros. This paste is great for the legs, it clings well to the wire, before it dries completely, it remains pliable and somewhat elastic. javais once did a test with the Fimo, but this one is great.

Guineafowl Vulturine, Ophiuchus secretary, Sacred Ibis, Jabiru Senegal, and a Goliath Heron I know there are not still on top but still little progress. it remains fun and we get to distinguish the species.
