| There are so many amazing photographers on STS, and it has been so inspiring to see all the wonderful photos taken by them in beautiful outdoor settings, so I decided to try a few! I took some dogs out for a little walk, and will update this topic whenever I take more! I'm a complete beginner when it comes to photography so I took my sister along with her camera and she helped me a lot! It was a lovely sunny evening which is hopefully a sign that spring is on its way even though we had snow only a week or so ago! | Oh my gosh, that sun-gazing corgi is the cutest picture! I feel the exact same way about spring finally arriving as that little guy. Just want to stand in the sun and bask. These are all really sweet. I don't know much about figure photography myself, though I do remember a little bit from reading about photo-showing Breyers back in the day, and I have to say it seems to me like you did a great job with putting them in scale appropriate locations. No giant grass or enormous close up trees to give it away. |

| Yes, I'll second Jill, you got the hang of finding good in-scale spots to stand them, only the Scotty is a bit dwarfed by his blades of grass, all the rest are good. The yellow lab and white shepherd photos, with the lens flares, look like the sort of arty real pet pictures people put on instagram!
Watch out for the shadow of your hand and the camera, when you're using low angle light, I think that's what's shading the two CollectAs posing together - it can be better to hold the camera a little further away and zoom in, then you're not casting a shadow on your figure or the bits they're standing on. |

| Thank you so much Jill and George! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I definitely agree about the Corgi, it's just what we all need after winter! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Thank you so much for the tips too, it's so useful to hear them from an amazing photographer like you! |

| Really great photos and models bonnie! That old Schleich lab is still a favorite of mine. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Results are wonderful and it is good that you have the help of your sister. I am the worst photographer of this planet so I can't give you good tips, though, I can admire all these pictures and tell that they really are beautiful. Some of the dogs look even nicer with all these settings. |
