I drove up to one of the parks located along the Hudson River yesterday and brought a few animals with me to take pictures. Here are the results, enjoy! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Really fantastic shots! I have a similar photo to your breaching humpback. Great scenery. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. Thank you! Oh really? Sweet! Do you have the photo posted where I could view it? I originally planned on taking a photo of the humpback as a silhouette photo at sunset, but thought I'd try him out in daylight to see how well he holds up first

I know I'm going to enjoy these threads, as soon as I see there's a new one or a new batch of photos, they're always beautifully done, and so well set up with a careful eye on the behaviour and posing, and choosing the exact right locations. You're so lucky to be able to get to these wonderful spots!

Your photo is better than mine as my humpback is the giant one from the Safari monterrey bay collection. And the photo is several years old... But it is here (scroll down a bit) if you would like to see. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Great photos again, there are so many that I really like! Great photos again, there are so many that I really like! Great work. Wow beautiful photos! You have an amazing yard to take photos in! I am absolutely obsessed with moss! I especially love the bats hanging upside down and the platypus underwater. I'm itching to take more snowy photos but unfortunately I won't get any snow until January most likely Interesting that your Monterey Bay Aquarium Humpback has a completely different paint job than mine on the belly, mine is the same grey color as the back with 2 small white blotches on the belly. I agree he is quite massive, I used a heavy rock and place it under the waves so that he could lean against it, he kept toppling over otherwise

I love moss too and it makes for some great colorful photos. 90% of my photos come from my yard areas, I come from a family of plant lovers and cultivators so it is fun to utilize the "microbiomes" available to me. But lately I have been trying to travel a bit with a few models to find new areas. My humpback photos hail from some 8 years ago or so, and I just sort of stuck his tail down into the sand and snapped some splashing the best I could. Interesting to hear the different paint work! _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs.
