Mojö in 2018, Schleich in 2019 and now Safari. There's a kind of Japanese fever since a few years ago.
From this angle the dog seems to have a very short neck but I like the model. It is the design expected for this kind of makers.

I agree, I think the face is really off somehow, and it's such a shame as they're a really distinctive and loved breed, but I don't think this one does nail it. To compare I found a photo of a real one from as close to the same angle as possible, here - the ears should be lower, the cheeks more plump and rounded, and less of a 'stop' in the profile between forehead and nasal bone.
The body and colouring are fine enough, but imagine seeing just a cropped headshot of a blank unpainted one - would we even be thinking 'shiba inu!' from that face? A mould should be so typical of it's breed that you can tell what it is at a glance, without a colour clue.

It seems Safari premiered the species. I can't remember another salmon shark around. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] suggested it on forum for 2015. I hope she's still collecting.

They seem to be announcing models more frequently... perhaps they finally got some stock in? And feel comfortable to present them now? I hope for the best for Safari.

On 11. avril, Safari posted on Instagram, that they would be releasing 4 newcomers in the next 3 weeks. We now had the Baby Alligator, Shiba Inu, Minke Whale and Salmon Shark. So they have now completed their announcements and I think we have to wait again until summer for more.

However, from those 4 announcements, there was only the Salmon Shark that we knew as release from Spielzeug-Günstig. So there could be come more surprises over the next months :)

Strangely enough this figure is not listed on the website, even in the coming soon page, but I’m sure they will list it.

Let's hope Safari releases at least a wild bird since they retired seven birds since 2019, 5 of them from the Wings of the World series.

salmon shark joins the Patagotitan for the two Safari 'must-haves' for me so far.

Looks great I love it!! It's 5.5 inches long, I wish it was a bit smaller but it won't bother me too much.

So far their other figures have taken a couple of days to show up on the website so I'm sure the shark will be up there soon. The question is when will they release? The crested gecko and patagotitan have been up there for some time now. Hopefully it won't be much longer!

Safari is may favorite brand for birds, I would LOVE the get another

Its up on their website now. 5.5 inches long and $6.99 usd.

It is a good size, almost the same as the lemon shark.

The paint job is a little less varied than I was hoping for, but it is still wonderful and added to my wishlist immediately.
