Is this no 978 Baby Chimpanzee? Your photos are great, especially with the beautiful background, but this one is a little unclear. If you could take another photo for TAW, that would be fantastic.

Yes that is the baby chimp. I will get another photo for you. The Elephants are Asian Elephants.

It's arrived !!!!!!!!! I am so happy. This is a very old figure, the paint is very bad on one side but I don't care. Many of these didn't survive as they were easily damaged as they tended to topple over. They were only made pre-war. I am so glad to have this in my collection.

Congratulations, what fantastic model! Especially for such an early model, it is a very good representation of a giraffe. It clearly inspired the later plastic models. What is the size, is it similar to the later plastic giraffes?

Oh very cool, congratulations! That looks like a collection figurehead for sure. It has such a good head and face. Though the paint is damaged, there is some charm to that also - it has a lot of history. I’m also curious about size as it looks quite big.

Thanks! yes I do love the charm these figures have. I wonder what adventures they encountered? :) The figure is 6 & 1/4 inches tall. I will get a snapshot of it with the plastic versions and the baby :)

Congratulations for finding that wonderful giraffe. The sculpt is magnificent and the painting is surely much better than my only lead figure that looks like it was never painted.
