Czechoslovak vintage ŽBS animals

Very popular in my country during my childhood - animal miniatures from hard and relative fragile plastic made by Železnobrodské sklo (ŽBS) in Jablonec nad Nisou. There were 3 editions - first edition in simply ivory white color with green base, second edition painted with some new species and third edition with reduced species range made from coloured plastics (bases with mostly different tones of green or brown). These animals were usually sold in plastic bag with about 10 different pcs...










I am really surprised that these animal are still missing on Toy Animal Wiki as we have some members from the former Czechoslovakia and moreover, these animals were sold in Poland and German Democratic Republic in 70-90 years of the past century as well... If possible, please editors do an entry on TAW using my photos :)

Very interesting figures. But i have they never seen in the GDR and also never if i visited the CSSR.

They have a beautiful artistic style. I especially like the later ones from coloured plastic.

I'd be glad of introducing them on TAW. If I have the chance I'll do it tomorrow.
Is Železnobrodské sklo the correct name to open the brand entry on TAW?
Also, should I write something similar to your post or are you thinking to provide individual pictures anytime?

OK, I replicated this topic into a very unconventional entry on TAW. It might work as a start for a more traditional layout.
