| Hi! Not long ago, I received, as presents, animals from a dollar store. The first package was a set of zoo and farm animals, and the other present was a dinosaur. While the "regular" animals are hollow, the dinosaur is solid. The company that made them in MONTOY. I wanted to put my new arrivals on Toy Animal Wiki, but I saw there was no page for Montoy there yet and I don't know how to create a Company's page. Can someone please create a Montoy page on TAW, please, so I can add my animals there? Does anyone know Montoy? | MONTOY seems to be a brand almost exclusively found in Dollarama stores. Most of their figures are just knockoffs. I don't know much about the company but I can open a page if you wish. By the way, to open a page brand, just copy the content of a page with the same categories and replace the text but preserving the categories because it is what will list it on companies, countries... pages. For example, Naturalism page has the same categories, China, Plastic, Companies and so. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I can't. Because when I try to edit the companies page, it just sends me to a white, blank page. And I can't do anything. |

It is. It had a Montoy ticket attached to a string around its neck. It's just not from the same series. |

That is what blocks me! |

Ah, OK, I understand now. What will make it show in the list of companies is exactly when you add the code for the company category. Montoy page does not exist yet. I've just generated a red link for a empty page which will be called Montoy after being saved. To start a company page do it: Go to TAW homepage. Just write the name of the company in the search bar of the wiki. If it does not exist, it will ask you if you want to open a page with that name and provides a link to a blank page. Then, you write the introduction, list the figures or series and at the bottom of the page you add the categories just copying from another company page with the same categories. For Montoy category codes are these. [[Category:Companies]] [[Category:China]] [[Category:Plastic]] This code will list automatically Montoy in Companies page, in China page and also in Plastic page. Those pages are category pages, you should not edit them directly but every time you add the category code as above it will list that page in the added categories. I'm just trying to give you the right tips to help you open it yourself but as I said before, I can do it for you. |

| OK. Right now, there are many of my Montoy animals on TAW. But still, there is one problem. Look at the duck: it seems to represent a Moskovy duck, considering the orange spot on its head. But there is no page existing on TAW for the Moskovy duck. How do we create a species page? And my horse: what breed does it represent?
PS: When I logged out from the TAW site, Montoy disappeared again from the companies list. Please solve this problem because it is getting really annoying. |

| Great job, Valérie! About the fact Montoy is not showing on company category, it is something I also don't know why it happens. Actually, it is not only Montoy, 11 companies are missing. Though, your job is correctly done and it may take some time to update for non logged visitors. Your horse is just a generic horse, you can list it in this page [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]About the duck, I can do it myself and Papo is also releasing a Muscovy duck. Though, here we are again confronted with an unusual situation. Should I list it as a subsection for Domestic ducks or should I open a independent species page as we do with wild species? Muscovy ducks are a different species but they're also domestic. I think I like best the idea of opening a specific page to it. |

| Yes, nicely done. Montoy is now in the companies list, it probably just took a bit of time to appear. |

| No, they're not showing to me when I'm logged out. Neither Montoy or Sunman I created recently among a few others. At least some special pages take a long time to update and it is probably the same to categories. I only don't understand why it behaves differently for editors and visitors. I opened a page to the Domestic Muscovy duck [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

I tried to update it to see if it is the same that is happening with transcluded pages but no luck. I was not expecting to be successful since those are different sorts of pages but we never know. If it lasts, I will informe [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] about it. |

| I think I saw that Styracosaurus mold somewhere... does anyone know if the Montoy dinosaurs molds are original to Montoy, or did they use other companies molds? |

| I'm sure Montoy does not use their own moulds. This kind of cheap production is often from a global manufacturer. |

| Three of their large dinosaurs, I've seen them, have molds that came from Dor Mei: the Brachiosaurus, the Stegosaurus and the Triceratops. The three other ones look a lot more recently designed. |
