Chinese factories are usually publicly disclosed for proprietary reasons, maybe you can find the factory hubs but those contain an insane number of manufacturers. China is a completely different world in this regard.

I wonder why Schleich didn't really want to talk about their production places outside of Germany. That's why the added the Designed in Germany under the bellies of there figures because the skepticism of products produced outside of Europe has increased significantly in recent years for parents. Some aspects are Quality over quanity or the working condition in foreign countries for the workers there. The wages a worker get's is definitely very different from what we get for exemple here in Europe, even in Europe it's self the wages for workers very.
The questions which the reporters asked in the following link from 6 years ago are very good.
I really enjoy this video form "The Show with the Mouse" where "Christoph" visits Bullyland and produces a Polar bear from 12 years ago.

Whilst Schleich being known for being a consistent brand in terms of design, we can see clearly here the different generations of models. Congratulations for getting the older one, it is not easy to find. It is funny how a German dog is known as a great Dane.

You are right, the fact this figure is named "Deutsche Dogge" makes it even funnier. Is there are a difference in breed? Even wikipedia if you change the language, it is a great Dane. And when you typ in your search maschine "dänische Dogge", then on the front page you get "Deutsche Dogge" [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Backstory: Got her in a store from Munich (Obletter), where my now 95 year old grandma used to work over 70 years ago, she told me this was one of her favorite work places. This is one of her memories she likes to think back. She was there in the toy car department.
Sidenote: If you have a favorite local toy store, where you buy your animals. Please keep going there, these shops need you. The experience going there is also what makes your toy hunt animal trips even much more worth. :)

New Arrivals for my collection:
Today I found the first two on the fleamarket in the Olympia Park in Munich I only paid 7 € for both of them togther. I had both of them already in my collection but these are Made in Germany.
Then I visited the Olympia shopping center, there I found the icelandic pony in the farmworld set for only €19,00, the normal price is € 29,00, that is to much. At another store there I found the new christmas reindeer, which I couldn't resist.
I am very happy with my purchases today.
So here are some Pictures :) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Here is one color variation I found in one of the stores:

There's no breed difference, the Great Dane is actually a German Mastiff. Those are all names to the same breed. We have a Portuguese name for it, Dogue Alemão, which means German dog but we use popularly the French name, Grand Danois which means Great Dane. I've read somewhere about the weird origin of the Danish thing. Congratulations for your new figures. It's great when we find some bargains or unexpected models. curiously, we use the name Princess, as a forum community naming, to the Schleich Shire mare, the white/grey one standing.

Thank you Roger.
Yeah I think it is funny and sometimes really misleading, when companies try to give there animals species/ breeds names. But I learned something new for today. :)
I am a fan of the new christmas reindeer, it looks very lovely and even better than the one a year before.
Here is group pic of my reindeers, which I took last year in december. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Thank you Kikimalou, I would definitely recommend to everyone visit your local fleamarkets. you never know what you could get there.
In my hometown, sadly I couldn't visit it that weekend there was also a very big fleamarket that weekend. But in Munich I had luck, there I also visited two different ones.

Congratulations for all yor additions. Especially for completing the 1:32 scale Sealife series. It is probably the best Schleich series of ever ad one wich contributed decisively to the good reputation of the brand at the time. Horst is also an remarkable model as Kiki mentioned. I remember when everyone was looking for it. It seems to me a good idea that you show your llama family, it is even more interesting if you also show the alpacas
