Well... that attack was really cool. I always thought... takin... what a cute calm animal... yeah my ass I saw his frozen face stearing at me and running right to me... uff. It was full of adrenalin :) Huge respect from that moment!

yes, there's nothing like that moment when you realize this nice placid creature chewing his cud is not so placid after all!
when i was in college i worked as an animal handler at an amusement part and one task was to keep an eye on things in the "American Wilderness" area where the sight- seeing train went through to see the wapiti and bison, and more than once i had to dive through a fence when a bison charged.
and my god, they are HUGE up close! and the faster they are running at you, the BIGGER they get!

But can visitors get too close?
Can they pet them or feed them things they shouldnt get?
In my opinion only the zookeepers should feed the animals because they all have specific diets.

Wow, Carolynn... Once I almost work in Prague Zoo with giraffes, zebras, antelopes, camels, wisents and... bisons :) Sadly... I´m not
So anyway... working with bisons must be really dangerous, huh?
