Beautiful Kayiodo animal, but what specie? Help, please :)

Hi! This is my newest animal figurine, which came from our friend Samson. It is Kayiodo figurine, and I really love it, but I don't know what is that specie. Could You help me experts :)

...Nice figurine Anna! And so cute! I think this is - Muscardinus avellanarius (The Common Dormouse) or maybe anything subspecies? ... I want to organize the small mammals display too!

Thank You Sergey! Actually I know the animal which You showed athought didn't know it's English name (in Polish it's Orzesznica). I think it must be rather another subspecie or specie, mine Kayiodo has black dorsal stripe. But thank You for so nice photos of Common Dormouse

...Orzesznica? It,s like in russian "oreshnitsa" (from word nut - "orekh")... But in Russia this animal named "sonya", from word "son" (sleep) because she many sleeping on the winter...

Hi Ana, I'm Not home, that is why no recent posts or emails to anyone, but I have this figure and when I return I'll write you the name. I think it is a possum related to sugar gliders but I don't know for sure until I can look.

Surgey, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! you are correct and I am mistaken about the figure, but it isn't the common door mouse, it is the Japanese door mouse. The scientific name is Glirulus japonicus if you want to look it up.

It is a lovely, lovely little doormouse

We call them "syvsovere". The name comes from an old legend about some people who slept for seven nights and seven days. ( syv=seven, sover =sleeper)

Ohhh, they look so cute, - I am sure they are very nice to keep if you want a quiet pet

It is nice and interesting "Glirulus japonicus" figure from magazine line "Wonder Figure Collection", very similar as the Kaiyodo+Shogakukan weekly magazine one (part of Natural Monuments of Japan). The only difference visible at the first look is yellow color of leafs at the base (NMOJ leafs are green)...
