One more horrorbird : The Kelenken

CollectA makes some very nice birds. So liking birds a lot, I just couldn`t resist this little cutie

He lived app 15 millions years ago in what is now Argentina, was up to 3 meters tall and his head was more than 70 cm long !

Tha figuere here is app 15 cm tall to the top of the feathers on his head .

I love a lot this figure! Those are the figures from series I'm not collecting but I cannot resist! It is spectacular and really expressive! I also like the way feathers and legs are sculpted! :)

I agree, it has fantastic detail, lots of work have obviously gone into this model. Congratulations Susanne!!!
I'm glad he doesn't exsist now though, having a nine foot bird walking about would be terrifying

Don`t you think the figuere was designed by the same person who designed the ostrich-chicks ? The same degree of detail ?

I love this figure! these birds must have been amazing. I think they're much scarier than dinos. Maybe because dinos are familiar since childhood.

Almost sure of it! I love all CollectA birds, even those from first years like the little barn owl, swan and flamingo!

I saw the Kelenken recently in a local shop and thought to myself: What a big bad birdie! I love it but it is most probably too big for my displays!
