| Who could guess knock-offs would look so good!  It looks darker than the original and I really like the color choice. Iberian red foxes are quite rusty colored. |

Fascinating to know that, in that case I love the way Pardofelis and I both painted foxes to look like our local populations - I did the same sculpt much paler to look like a British one! |

| Thanks! Well I didn't tought in did a silacea subspecies, I just respected the ground colour because I didn't saw the need of a change. Iberian foxes should be a bit more brownish-blackish. But I had to correct the ear colour at least, as well as the eyes, and I darkened the tail because the original Papo have a darker tail.
I tought British foxes are very vivid orange rather than pale? _________________ My collection:- (Details):

| Perhaps pale is the wrong choice of word, they're lighter and more yellowy-orange than reddish-brown. I'll find the exact reference I used for my repaint, cos I spent ages on Google selecting the one who looked most like the foxes I see... This one, very typical for Britain at least in my area (southern, rural farmland rather than urban), and some more about my colour/markings choice in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| There's a huge color variation among red foxes. The yellowish red color with black socks George is linking is the most typical morph. Though, there are a few subspecies that keep some specific coloration like the Iberian one. This page shows some unusual colorations. |
