| Hi friends! Some days ago I,ve bought this gorgeous hippo from “polystone” material (made in China)! And I think it would be very nice to have a such model for Schleich, Papo, Safari or another famous brands… I know many from us don,t like polystone animal models (for example my friend Kirill)... But why? They are not impressive? They have too small or too big scale? Maybe they are less accurate in compare with plastic models? Or maybe they are not produced by famous brands? No and no… So why models from polystone are bad? I think because a material… But in compare with porcelain figurines polystone models are more natural and accurate. Look at the pictures! There are any great difference between Papo hippo from plastic and “polystone” hippo? I think it,s a good family! ) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]...in compare with Papo hippo.... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]...and in compare with my polystone crocs... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| Congratulation for your growing hippo family, it's nice to see a model which can live with the PAPO king. Actually, I guess some of us don't collect polystone models because they are not toys |

| That is a fantastic hippo, I love both the mould and VERY much the paintwork I am also sure Harriet will love him, - a hippo with his mouth closed I love polystone figures, and have some of - what else - siamese cats The problem for me is that they can break I used to have some very nice ones of Whippet-dogs, -funny thing is my Siakitties pushed them on the floor where they broke . But they never push the siam-models - yet But your hippo does not look like he breaks easily CONGRATULATIONS, - I love your crocs also |

| Congrats Sergey!
This hippo is nice and partly the reason mentioned by Susanne polystone is easy to break. Therefore Collector like me will not prefer but if the size is compatible with papo or schleich still will consider. |

| I like the polystone hippo the best! I have several polystone pieces: i like it if it's well done, but i can understand why some people wouldn't want them. Because the collecting gene is so individual, "because that's not what I collect" seems a perfectly good reason. _________________ carolynn

| Congratulations on your Hippopotamus Sergey resin is nice and blends well with other, and forms a beautiful family. To each choice is, it is true if the details are realistic as you why not! Toy, or single number that describes, personally, I bought a few years ago a young camel lying and three chimpanzees that appeared perfectly in my collection. Since I gave up given the choice before every year now. By cons I have a question to ask you one does not sometimes model for resin casts pvc (toy) or the other but I doubt it .... I recently found a Web page that makes me think cella?? I do not divulge brand but maybe they bought the rights? I've also seen an American badger figurine inspired by a resin that comes out this year! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I for one am glad because I prefer to collect toys ... and there are still many interesting figurnnes Thank you. |

| Squee, hippo! What a cutie! My big issue with resins and clinkies and the like is their breakability - I'm pretty much the clumsiest thing in the world, so anything that's likely to smash when dropped is bad news as far as I'm concerned. |
