Yes Susanne, you are right, there are 3 species of bottle nose dolphins and the animals were known for a long time ago but scientists thougt it was the same species. Mojo here is representing a common bottle nose dolphin.
The underside is in fact lighter but not almost white! :)

Already about 20 years ago, i thought myself, that there were more than only one species of bottlenose dolphins, a larger and smaller one...
They probably came from one ancestor, but as they have a wide spreaded range all over the world, in different temperated waters, it is not strange, that they devided in some new species...
Here you see, that evolution is always going on, although these 3 species were already there for alonger time of course...
