Tiny, little figure - great, big joy : The little Sea lion pup

I have been searching for this little Sea lion pup for SO long, so I did not believe my own eays, when he as on Ebay fora very reasonable buy-it-now price

Here he is at last

This tiny model was made from 1965 till 1991. Perhaps I have been unlucky, but I have only seen him for sale one time before

He is so small that there is almost not room for the Schleich-mark

The guy to the left is a remote relative, I don`t think he is from Schleich, the design is not quite like Schleich. He has no mark, but many of the oldest classichs are not marked.

The new baby is grey while the mom and dad are black, does anyone know if he is older or younger than the others ?

i'm glad you told me that was a seal--- i would have thought it was a hippo at first! He is so silly and cute. The whole family is funny- mama is giving her praises to the angels for finally granting her wish for a little angel of her own, while Papa and uncle look like Dr Suess's Lorax!

In Gascher`s the daddy-sea lion is grey, too, but Baby is black

I love markings like that. Schleich tells us in its book that that marking was used all the way to 1977 on their plastic toys.

I found this. But not the complete book though. Mostly information on the Schleich smurf era from 1986-1990. :) The complete book is over 100 pages.

No I am sure they were not, they are the series of large Schleich classics
