Thanks for your fantastic and helpful work Christophe! monkey
Actually a South American tapir is the same as a Brazilian tapir, is better consider the saiga in the Asian group and three toed sloths are those from Bradypus genus that represents some different species. It is better to count it with all the sloths! Laughing

These subspecies of mouflon are technically almost the same figure in terms of market.
Ahahah! In the facebook the spinosaurus have 2 votes! Laughing
I'll change some of my choices according with your counting, edit the original and tell you since you have it already well arranged! I'm so sorry that Kikimalou only has 1 vote! Crying or Very sad monkey But the garial goes very well! Wink

It is worthy of note that there's only 2 African species in the overall Top-10.
Indeed, African wildlife is well represented on the market at the expense of other continents. And collectors want changes of this situation!

Very Happy Very Happy But this is a rather constricted approach to collecting, isn't it?
Moreover, my "playing experience" with children shows that they are fond of assorting their animals by different continents. And Africa is always overcrowded in their games while, say, South America and Australia are very low in wild population... Although, it does reflect the current situation in the wildlife world... scratch scratch So maybe the manufacturers are right :) rendeer

I´m searching for mooses, muskoxes and yaks like a mad man Very Happy Like a Star @ heaven Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I agree with Martin and the STS collectors and I must disagree with you Kyril. Wink Mainly because I have all the stats Laughing

Indeed, African species are only two on the Top 10 because STS members chose a lot of different species and especially in Africa. it means the votes are more scattered for African animal than for the others. I guess Africa is still the favorite spot and it's not an advantage in a vote where you can choose three species in each categories.

Speaking about categories, here are the number of different species for each of them.

Africa 37
Asia 33
Birds 46
Dinos 10
Europe 23
North America 32
Prehistoric mammals 28
Primates 37
Reptiles 27
Sea life 27
South America 30

And now the number of species/ number of votes / Number of animals in Top10 in each continent

Africa 77 / 181 / 2
Asia 65 / 156 / 3
Europe 24 / 64 / 2
North America 40 / 92 / 0
Oceania 13 / 32 / 1
South America 48 / 113 / 1

Funny to see that North America have 0 on Top 10 despite 92 votes and Oceania have 1 on top 10 with only 32 votes Laughing

So a continent Top 6 would be :

Africa
Asia
South America
North America
Europe
Oceania

I guess the Oceanian score is low mainly because we don't vote for an Aussie category Wink
