Well, actually I would rather name it a playset, but it does have the item no of a special edition.

I would say it is a scenerypack.
The Asien warrior is a bonus.

Congratulation Susanne, I like that elephant very much! Here in the Edition 72010 is the red samurai the "special" one.
I saw a pic of 72009 (a special edition number) and could not see any difference to the "normal" edition except the number.

I hope they don't have so many special editions next year because it's becoming very expensive

Why couldn`t Schleich sell the samurai alone?
It would be better for the collectors.
But to pay more for the figurines is much better for Schleich.

It is a picture from Ebay, - I won`t buy it, it is MUCH too large, it would fill a whole shelf, - and as Peter said, it is more like a scenery pack.
If I were rich and had really big house with rooms full of shelves, I would buy it, - I would buy all scenery packs, I like them , but....

As Schleich surely says: only buy who wants! Luckilly for Schleich many people collect repeated special sets with diferent numbers! :) Any collection as its interests and all of them are respectable! :) Thanks for posting Susanne! :)

Another nice scenery pack indeed.
I won't buy it either, but the white elephant will surely wander into my collection!

I think you get many for 50 Euro.
Elefant, Rider, 3 Samurais and the saddle.
When you buy it part by part you must pay much more for it.
And the shipping Costs in European Countries are only 16 Euro.

The white elephant is amazing in it's detail as I saw in another post on the forum where there were up close photos, but to offer a "set" like that - wow! It will make some child a wonderful Christmas present.
Like you Susanne...I would have to build another room to house all the figures I wish to have...but I only have shelving for a few. They have to share the shelves with books!

The "Sets" Schleich offers though are a better price than trying to buy individually. Or you can wait a few years and pick them up on ebay for a better price.
