CollectA 2012 Official pics: Waterbuck Antelope

Some data:
Schleich, 23 years of wild life, 3 antelope species
Safari, more than 20 years, 3 species?
Bullyland, I have no idea!
Papo, 9 years of wild life, 2 antelope species
Mojo Fun, 2 years of wild life, 2 antelope species
CollectA, 7 years of wild life, 4 antelope species (all in Numaan era)
Kikimalou: 8 years collecting, 87 antelope figures!

I'm sorry if some of these data are not correct but important is seeing CollectA and Mojo giving us really waht we want. I never expected in modern brands to see a waterbuck, I'm really happy with it!

Score! I put a Defassa was on my Mojo wish list, even though i had not a hope it would happen, and Collecta surprises me!

Perfect antelope! Will get it as soon as I can!

There are a lot, that MPV never had, - lots of the dogs and cats, spoonbills and meercat are some I have searched for in vain.
And if you look through the pictures, perhaps half of them are not in stock.
For instance the snow leopard, - they had it for a very short period, then it was sold out

I think the problem may be, that CollectA has such an enormously large range.

Yes, sorry, you are right.

I know for a fact that they never had a zebra, giraffe or a baboon, because I was hunting for them since CollectA was introduced in MPV. Baboon was later taken off their web page...

For me the head is a bit too big But it is still a very fine replica and a wonderful good news

I think the same, Crocobert , one year collecting, 8 antelope figures! BTW, I'm saying 2 for Papo because I believe theres another in 2012!

Ok, my bad I didn't watch the models too carefully, I wasn't really interested in that brand then. And we have Collecta importer in Poland, that's another reason.

Very very nice model, only don't forget to tell the CollectA people to paint the white ring on the backside, it is very significant in this species!

Bullyland made only 2 antelope species, the Grants/Thompson and Tsessabee(Topi).

There are already 2 antelopes in their range though, if one comes out next year that will be 3

I like this one the most among all the 4 new antelopes. Firstly, because of the species itself. Second, because it looks magnificent!

I think the painting is right for Defassa Waterbuck. Defassa has only lighter colored backside then rest of the body. Ring on backside is typical for Ellipsen Waterbuck. By the way my favorite from these 2 is Ellipsen Waterbuck indeed

I was wondering which of the two I preferred. However I prefer the Defassa. The reason is because of the deeper darker coloured coat and the large white rump - I also like the light brown/orangey colouring that you get around the head area and on the coat. The chocolate brownness with the orange is lovely. After looking at many Ellipsen Waterbuck photos most of them have just the one type of coating and is not as colourful to me. Yes the ring on the rump is nice but I think the Defassa colouring is deeper, richer and overall prettier.....
