PostSubject: sheep diorama    sheep diorama EmptyFri Dec 16, 2011 7:28 pm

hello everyone , my near completed hillside sheep diorama , chicken wire frame and papier mache with model railway green grass sprinkled on it. i used some of my britains detail kerry hill sheep and a couple of other britains sheep and 2 britains herald ewes. I really do need to add some bushes maybe a tree etc. also the background looks a little crap! any ideas welcome :-)

Dean , 24 from UK.

I think the back drop is pretty Very Happy
You did a great job on the hill, wonderful! I have done something similar but in HO scale. I agree a tree or some bushes (maybe gorse bushes?) would look lovely on there. I still haven't added any trees or bushes to mine Rolling Eyes

Wow! How beautiful!!! I love you
These figures remind me my childhood, I had 6 of these grazing sheep (but painted as a black faced) + one ram and few of these grey walls elements, I use to spend so much time playing by my little herd Very Happy I had also shepherd dog, not sure what breed but he was black and white. I remember how much I wanted to make bigger herd but I couldn't find more of these sheep in the shop later. And much later my cousin from Sweden asked me if I can give all my farm animals to her, so I don't have them anymore Crying or Very sad Thank You so much for the picture Dean, it's wonderful!! It's like coming back to the years of childhood for me Very Happy

I think it is fantastic and I would not change the background, it gives the diorama a finished look. At some point I am going to add backgrounds to mine and I can only hope it comes out looking as nice as yours!
