Around eighty years ago, Lineol made this male Markhor. As they never made a female, it looked as though our solitary male would never find a mate and be able to join the "Ark" part of the collection ....

Harriet, the Markhor-matchmaker! Ladymarkhor

.... but Harriet had the answer!

This exquisite girl arrived in the post this morning. Isn't she stunning?!

She had made an old Markhor (and two old women) very happy indeed! And she has brought our Ark up to 182 pairs!!
