| Hi friends. today a was since a long time again in the Zoo Dortmund. It´s only a quite small, but old zoo. Not all was i have seen enjoyed me, but in the last years they made some new species-appropriate enclosures. All in all it´s ok. Here are some pictures i made today: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I think those animals are happier than in many zoos I have seen!In Barcelona, the elephants, rhinos, giraffes and other giants were kept in very small enclosers. Great sloth! What is with the stork's legs? |

| Congratulation torben. I know sometimes it's hard to see some animal life in the old european zoos... In the Antwerpen zoo, I always avoid the chimps and the gorillas because they are so sad... The lycaons, anteater and serval are my favourite here because I can't remember if I saw real ones... Thanks for sharing ! |

| Thanks for sharing Torben! I love the African wild dog with the floppy ear. :) The stork has nothing on his legs Mihnea, he is just sitting down more or less... Yes, visiting some older zoo's can give you the creeps sometimes... Artis Amsterdam has some of those older enclosures too, as it is one of the oldest zoo's in the world anyway. But they are catching up very quickly the last decades thankfully.

| Beautiful photos, Torben. I too like the sloth and capybara, especially. I would love to see this zoo, as well as to take in a football match at the Westfalenstadion (Borussia Dortmund's yellow and black kit is one of my Euro club favorites!).
