| Interesting variations. In Papo figurines, I've noticed the paintwork differs. _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

| Help ! I missed this subject Well, better late than never I LOVE these variations ! The croc is really differently painted. Amazing how the shades of the leopards makes them look different ! I have the dark version, it looks a bit dull Please allow me to bring an old topic forward again. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]As Harriet says, Papo makes an awful lot of variations, planned as well as unplanned. A nightmare or a blessing for collectors of variations..that is how you see it But it surely is a problem for the Net-shops, as it is extremely hard for them to bring the correct pictures of the actual figueres they have in stock |

| Rusty, this subject is interesting and of course it is even more interesting knowing where figures are made. Mainly in Schleich figures. :) But, there are already some topics under the same subject: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]This last link is exactly the same subject and there are more in Schleich section! There's no problem reactivating an older topic! |

| Here are my variations, all of which are Schleich. Does different versions from different years count? I don't collect variants, these are just doubles. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Clydesdales both made in China [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Donkey The one on the left is made in Portugal (the older version) and the right one is made in China [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Hanoverian foals, both made in china [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Sheep, both made in China [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Shire foals, I couldn't find a picture of them from side view, but one is more of a sandy colour and has different markings on the face, both made in China [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]lipizzaner mare made in China left and Stallion made in Germany right [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Wild Boar Piglets both made in China, not much difference. _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

| Does Veb Plaho wanted to make species variation in the same mould? Safari already did it! :) True variations indeed! :) |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Andreas, I am not sure if any of these bears is from VEB Plaho. As far as I remember the age of "DDR", there were some bears sold in sets with Indians, they are "Fischer KG" origin. The mold is not the same, see the pics: Fischer KG bear: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]VEB Plaho brown bear: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] BTW: This brown VEB Plaho bear (with two cubs) is the first figure in my collection (later I added some older figures but this one was the real start point for me as collector)... |

I think you are right. Just if you say this, i remember me that i becames 2 of this bears with indians. And this was not VEB Plaho. But i dont know why they produced/ painted a polar bear. |
