| As you may know, the last Papo wolf found a good place at home last week. The more I look at him, the more I love him... The best is on the pics

| I also think that Safari's white wolf looks more realistic than Papo's. Thanks for the photos! _________________ Born to be Wild and Free!

| I think both wolfs are equally good. But I prefer the Papo walking wolf most. |

| Thank you everyone I agree the SAFARI white wolf is a masterpiece. It is on my whishlist and I hope I will put my hand on one before 2011. But I'm happy with the new PAPo, it s a good figurine, better than expected... The SAFARI addiction is growing in me but Papos and Schleichs are easier to find here, I don't have to take a chance with an online shop. That's the only reason my SAFARI collection grows more slowly. |

Thanks for the photos! As I already said, I'm sure this Safari wolf is a must have ! But the PAPO is a grey wolf ( Canis lupus lupus ) and the SAFARI an Arctic wolf ( Canis lupus arctos) The pics are not mine, so I don't need congratulations IMHO they don't need to compete, they are both great models of slightly different animals

| They are just sub-species, but both models are great IMHO. Actually they found out shortly ago, that the dogs, which have the same genes as wolfs, because they are the ancestors of them, just differ in minor gene points, doesn't matter which breed. The difference in colour, size, lenght of hair, and all the other things we see in different breeds, seem to be in just one gene-pair. So the difference in the different types of wolves are probably even smaller, just some outside adjudgements to the enviroment they are living in, what is typical for evolution of course... :) |

Hi Kiki,
thanks for the beautiful photos of the Canis lupus Alas Torben, If you are talking about the two last pictures, I'm not the photograph, I only pick up them on eBay. But if you are talking about the Papo wolf's pics... I'm happy you enjoyed them ! |

Grey wolf (Canis lupus lupus) are smaller and have a different shape than Arctic wolf (Canis lupus arctos). Indeed a very small genetic difference can have spectacular results ! |

| Yes, only one gene, and then so much differences from the outside... Although, the beagle seems more expensive these days as a polar wolf... |
