Need some help with epoxi and sculpey Empty
PostSubject: Need some help with epoxi and sculpey    Need some help with epoxi and sculpey EmptyWed Feb 15, 2012 10:50 pm

I´m plannin my next sculpture and I would like to do some details with epoxi, which is more resistant than Sculpey. I know I can add the epoxi over the harden sculpey without problems, but I don´t know if I could put first the epoxi and then add the sculpey, because the Sculpey needs the oven to harden. I´d like to put first the epoxi because Sculpey is easier to blend than the epoxi. Could anyone tell me if epoxi resists 120ºC 10 minutes? I could do a test but I´d save energy and clay if someone can tell me Razz

Theoretically Epoxie can stand temperatures up to 135 C and I think You can bake it in oven together with sculpey. This is what i could read on package but I've never tried it in reality. :)
