| More than a fantastic animal, more than a beautiful pose, more than one more replicated figure after the tremendous oryx, is the fact of we have the chance of seeing you making moulds and building a project to bring to us the most magnificent animals with the highest quality that we recognise in your work. PM sent! |

| Dear friends, I think very unusuall situation happend here and i feel quite strange to say about that. I already wrote to Harriet about it and she knows. Somehow, I don't know how exactly our thoughts with Harriet were going in very similar paths. i know i said few lines earlier that Harriet will do great job on Nyala male, I'm sure Harriet would do pmagnificent job on it, but, but we agree with Harriet it would be very unusual to do doubles by 2 artist of the same specie in very similar pose... Yes, few weeks ago i get request from Ethan from our forum to do the lowland Nyala male in walking pose So I did this antelope, yes, he miss only horns... well, it's difficult situation for me as I really would love to see the one from Harriet, i love her works. But from other hand, i don't know if it's good to make doubles... oh, to not say empty words, I attached photos below of the Nyala male i'm working on... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I apologize, I should said that few lines higher to not make the situation even more complicated. I see many of You already contacted Harriet about the details. |

| Ana, Harriet, you had the same idea because it is a very good idea. And you are very good people... And great artists too. I like you , and your works, very much. I have the great chance to live with your models and I enjoy them every time I look at their shelves. They give me happiness, peace of mind and good feelings. When I read this topic I decided i will buy the two models, they could fit perfectly with the four sable antelope I will buy in 2012 . I like your models but I'm also very proud to know you and to share so much good things on STS. I think I'm not the only one |

| Wow! Great minds truly do think alike! Anna, you didn't say whether you are making molds of the handsome fellow you did for Ethan. I would assume so, because if you're not, I don't see any problem at all. On the other hand, if you are, I certainly don't see any problem artistically or ethically. You are both great artists But being realistic, i do understand that it is a big investment to make these figures. Even if we all say we'll buy both, and truly mean it, one never knows what the future holds, and then one or the other or both of you is stuck. I admit that i would love to have both, but I'm not sure i'd feel comfortable committing to buy both, because, well, one doesn't know what the future holds. But I'm sure whatever is decided, will reflect well on both of you. Now, if one of you were to make a female Nayala... _________________ carolynn

| I had another thought (an unusual event): i think it's perfectly fair for an artist to ask people to pay a deposit to reserve a figure. If the artist needs X number of people to commit to buy a figure, and that many people paid a deposit right now, the artist can go forward knowing it won't be a total bust. you'd have to figure out the rules, and the buyer must trust the artist, but on the other hand, the artist must trust the person who says they will buy one. ooooooooooooo! a STS futures market for limited edition figures! Those sad people who couldn't get their deposit in fast enough: "Will trade Schleich Super Pinto for a reservation for Harriet's Fallow Deer Family." "Will trade reservation for Joan's Colobus Monkey for reservation for Ana's Clouded Leopard." _________________ carolynn

But, are you making only 1 animal for Ethan or you're making a mould for copies? _________________ Robert

Yes, that would be first set of figures by Harriet and Anna :) Or they could be 2 males that have kind of interaction I'm just thinking, don't know what Harriet would think about it... But maybe all this situation was a sign that it would be nice if we make something together

| I like this idea from Anna, of making a female Nyala but I'll have to think about it a bit more and contact the mould company before I confirm. Anna will just make a mould from her Nyala, it wouldn't be good me making one as well even if some of you say you'd buy both. Her nyala as you can see is going to be gorgeous and I can't wait to add him to my collection _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

| I'm sure I would like both animals but unfortunately I can't afford custom Nyala family. I usually take males... However, Gerenuk... _________________ Robert
