| I don't think I'd consider Dinogorgon and Smilodon an example of convergent evolution. All they have in common is a general apex-predator habitus with elongated teeth. A better example would be Thylacosmilus and Smilodon. Dinogorgon would probably be better compared to a canid or hyaenid. |

| .. but canids and hyaenids have runner thin legs! Dinogorgons, like felids were rather ambush hunters. |
