schleich repaint

This is the first time I have tried on repainting a model. Ordinary, I dont have the guts to try it on, both because I think they already look good, and second, beacuse I´m afraid I´ll ruin them.

But now, I had two good reasons to repaint this model.

1. I have three of them

2. I realy thought that the prewalski should have a little foal

So, I took the foal I thought was the best size for the prewalski. The choise fell on the camargue foal (in my opinion, it´s one of the cutest foals)

With his future mum. (I think hes a little too big, but it´ll do)

Here he is, transformed into a prewalski

And with the mum. She finaly have a foal

Maybe he is too big but he is very well painted

How many layers did you made ?

Thanx But i still think hes a little too light on the body, but oh well :)

I think I did about 3 or 4 layers. The paint I used was pretty transparent

Thanx Now we just have to hope that schleich can make a stallion (and maybe a foal to), and the family will be complete

Never tried doing a horse, seems realy hard. But who knows, maybe some day

You never know unless you try. I would love to try to create something, but I don't know when I will be able to devote the time to do it.

It´s very beautiful! Przewalsky foals are a bit lighter, but you did an amazing job!

He has the right size for a big foal late in the year, I think. The mane and tail on the "natural" foals doesn`t grow - or look like growing - so fast, the mane stands up till they are almost 6 months old
