CM Appaloosa stallion by Tigzzz

I'm an Appaloosa fan, so when a friend of mine offered to do some paint work on model horses for free (as a practice) I asked her to turn my Thoroughbred stallion from Breyer CM Kit into Appaloosa.

I believe it was a hard work, but after several months of painting she finally created this masterpiece.
This is how he used to look like.

Blue roan blanket appaloosa with spots (mane and tail are made from mohair).

I could have asked some simple appaloosa (on bay, for ex., or on chestnut base color, but I wanted roan! Poor Tigzzz... )

A bit shaggy here. i still cannot decide if I want him with long or middle length mane. What do you think?

Every horse in my collection has a name, esp the OOAK ones. But this one is nameless for now. hat do you think would be a suitable name for this cute fellow?

Such a beautiful paintjob, incredibly real, gorgeous detail.

I think the mane would look better slightly shorter, so as not to hide the beautiful paintwork.
A name how about "Caeruleus" which is blue in Latin I think.

I think the mane and tail are PERFECT, it would be a shame to start grooming it !
One detail that is fantastic, - appaloosas have the problem that their tail isn`t very thick, - this one isthe first model I have seen where the artist sticks to reality

No, I won't dare to call him Stormy. There's only one Stormwatch on this Earth:) However, I was thinking of naming him Stormwind... As for Zeus- I have one already;)

I'm going to get mini Nevada resin (and turn it in some kind of appaloosa, yessss ), so I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have two horses with similar names.

I also love appaloosas, esp the blanket ones, and it's great that many manufacturers (esp Peter Stone) focus on this pattern now

... Congratulations cyhyraeth companion for your excellent work. Here the horse has been impressive. Appaloosa horses were the favorites of the Sioux Indians. And although it is looking like the Indians painted horses with symbols as painted Sioux warriors.
