is this the most awesome/ideal CHIMPANZEE figure ever?

well, i just got this chimp figure yesterday and i think it is the most perfect chimpanzee figure EVAR. (the schleich, collecta and papo ones look pathetic beside it). it looks life-like/accurate and looks like a resin figure. (it is hard plastic). what is your opinion? (sorry for the not so HD pics btw)

Nayab chimp, best sculpt of the chimp I've seen for now...

I'm agreed! I also have the model and is the best sculpting work on a chimp. But the painting is not so good.

I agree with previous comments, a fantastic sculpting, pose but poor painting.

i thought about trading mine the last days because of the paintwork and the lack of motivation for repainting a species i am not interested in, but this opened my eyes again!

At least till 2012!! Maybe something better in 2013 or 2014!!

so this chimp is made by Nayab? the box it came in says Boley of China released in 2012. (which incidentally has an american mailing address on the box). maybe mine is a repaint because i dont see any objectionable paint job. i got two boxes of different animal figures that came along with this chimp and will post them soon (they are all high quality hard PVC and no seams).

Interesting, Nayab moulds are sold under many different brand names, it is the first time I see this name and it was really nice to see other figures.

Nayab one... Probably the cheapest so sized chimp figure available in Czech Republic today :) Although these Nayab figures are absolutely price low-end, some Nayabs are very good shaped - not only this chimp but also the llama, rhino, both the parrots... Some of You complain about paintwork quality - not true in all cases. Some days ago I sent load of Nayabs to Philipp (PeGe) with really good painted lynx. When I write *really good*, I mean in comparison with machine-like painted Schleich, Papo or Mojo Fun! counterparts... BTW: Philipp, can You please append photos of your Nayab lynx?

I believe that one can get this Nayab figure from the website [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] There it is listed as part of the "delPrado collection". (As Roger pointed out above, Nayab produces it for different companies or outlets.)

yes a "Del Prado" figurine, as one of the esteemed members of another forum i frequent pointed out to me. he also said it is more of a bonobo than a common chimp.


i also see subtle differences between Torben's, Kiki's and my figure.
