Malayan Tapirs in Action in the Gondwanaland at Zoo Leipzig

A special experience for me , the Malayan tapirs in the zoo of my hometown that day (April 20, 2012), which I'd like to share with you. But see yourself:

At first everything was as usual, very relaxed:

Finnish zoos are not very interesting, unfortunately. I hope we get to Sweden this summer, to Kolmården :)

It was a phantastic day in the Zoo Leipzig and the Godwanaland is very wonderful. That was the favourite of this zoo for the rest of my family.

It's fun to see a Malatyan tapir in the Gondwanaland, especially because Northern Europe and Southeast Asia were in Laurasia and not in Gondwana

The 4th picture remembers me when they are in circles what do not surprise me once 20 April fits with the end of their mating season. Did she had a baby recently?
We are eager to see more surprises and I'm also glad seeing you having some time left to post here although in very late hours!

Myself, I have never seen a malayan tapir, only brazilian (?) tapir.

Laila is only approximately two years old and is now becoming interesting for Copashi. Then soon see the pictures for the Tapir Action, which I myself have never seen so active.

Oh, so she is a little young! Only a curious girl. I'm ready to see them in action! :) I'm mean playing, of course!

I saw it too has not previously, I thought always, that tapirs are very quiet animals. Now we know better, they can also be faster.

Sorry for the many pictures, but i think is it okay, since this can´t see every day.

Yurumi - fantastic photos! Thanks, I have never seen a malayan tapir before, in Brasil, we only have the brazilian tapir in our zoos, that look too bigger than these black and white ones! I loved the vegetation around. They are very funny and happy tapirs! Cgts!
