Funny variants of the old giraffe 14028

Sometimes I feel very lucky !
Like when I bid on some Schleich in order to get a kangaroo. In the lot was an old Schleich giraffe .
I thought that, well, the shipping is the same, let me get him along. Perhaps somebody else will be happy to get one  

But, YESSSS!!! It turned out he is a Variant

Here they are. I have given them numbers, because as I looked closer at them, I got a few surprises

No. 1 is made from dark plastic, with indentions where the light colur is painted.
No. 2 is made from light plastic, with "islands" for the dark paint.
No. 3 is made from light plastic, with indentions like no 1, but is painted between the indentions.

Furter : No 1 is made in PORTUGAL, no 2 is not made anywhere, and no 3 is made in China  
But MOST strange :
This giraffe is called a female giraffe in Gascher`s, - but......

This picture is really only because I am so proud I could get a sharp short of the marks on the Chinese ones

Perhaps this is old news, but to me it is YESSSS!!!

The first one is obviously a reticulated giraffe, but the others look respectively angolan and masai.

Vallerie is right! They are different subspecies! That is much more than variations! China is somewhere, Portugal is here and where is anywhere?
Congratulations, I hope in next Schleich book your collection is referenced.
