Caouane sea turtle 2009 Papo Aquatic Animals

On special request from Zbyszek, here are some pics of the very fine 2008 sea turtle.

Again, I 'm still very sorry for the bad pics but my CCD sensor is dirty and I won't be able to find a cleaning kit before monday.

I used a Tamron 90mm Macro for the closer pic and this lense is a real killer... So don't be afraid by some details you couldn't see when looking at the model with your eyes only.

But let the pics talking.

As I look get the turtle & find that as it compared with the Papo tortoise. the details & paint job is much better. Thanks for the reviews! As you mentioned the sensor is dirty & how long is your D70s camera? Normally after 5 or 6 years the sensor tend to give you a bit of problem. after all your picture is fine.

Nevertheless, I disagree with you. Indeed some Caouanne have more rude shell, but not all of them.

Caouanne and Hawkbill sea turtle share a very distinctive feature, they have two claws on each flipper and the Green turtle have only one claw.

The PAPO model can't be a Green turtle, it has two claws on the flippers .

I have mixed opinions. The paintwork matches the other species better.
But anatomically, it could be a careta.
