Eco Domes "Animal family sets" from Wild Republic

I think we need to rename 2011 the year of the Animal Replica Collector instead of the Chinese year of the ????. With the introduction of Mojo and the great collections of the other major brands we all have alot to be thankful for (except for the reduction in our bank account balances! ). I just learned that Wild Republic the makers of Wild Republic Tubes, Audubon Birds, Polybags, And Eco Expediton toys annouced a major expansion of their replica line. They introduced a new line at the Feb. New York Toy Fair called Eco Domes!!!

Eco Domes are families of PVC animals that come in "Dome" packages. They include an adult male, adult female and one or two juveniles. I recently saw two of the sets which included a family of lemurs and a family of sharks. The lemurs looked cool but the sharks looked a little cartoonish.

Wild Republic is setting up a new website with a retail store! The website is [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] The Eco Domes are not even on the website yet. There are about 30 new Eco Dome families coming out of wild life and dinosaurs . There are no families of farm animals. I know of the following families:

Lions
Black Bears
White Tailed Deer

Tigers
White Tigers
Crocodiles
Dolphins
Sharks
Orcas
Zebras
Belugas
Manatees
Asian Elephants
Oragutans
Penguins
Koalas
Harp Seals
Sea Turtles
Wolf
T. Rex
Triceratops
Stegosaurus

They say that the figures are about 3 to 4 inches tall or about 10 cms. As soon as I find pictures I will let you know!!! Happy Collecting Larry!!!!!

I found some pictures of some of the new Eco Domes. The pictures are not very good. I like some of the stuff and do not like some of it too. I think I will have to actually see the figures before I make up my mind. Domes. This is a good website to buy from. They carry schleich, Safari, Papo and some Wild Republic.

Indeed lemurs seem quite right,
He shook nice to have a comparative picture with the safari.
I like laying the baby giraffe and zebra lying.
penguins are cool too bad we not show us figure out the world as the lemur.

The male orangutan is a bit smaller than the Schleich one.

are those "eco dome" figurines?

"those americans are so lucky..." I love it Susanne! I think it is funny because I always felt Europeans were lucky since so many of the companys are based there. But yes in this instance we are pretty lucky. I really want to wolf and buffalo sets. But all of them just look so great!

I have seen a some of these sets as eco dome sets here in a shop near me but they are expensive!!approx £12 per set so at present I have pasted on buying them!
