WOW! Shocked

I like the original Andrew very much, but I muct admit that this as a fantastic improvement Very Happy

We can only guess what colour this gigantic, scary monster had, but your suggestion is GREAT cheers

I sometimes can`t help wondering...if somebody found fossiles of present day`s zebras, they would NEVER guess their colour scratch

PostSubject: Re: Andrewsarchus repaint   Andrewsarchus repaint EmptyWed Sep 05, 2012 8:22 pm

Joan, I confess the Bully Andrew belong to a group of prehistoric figures that make me laugh anytime I see it! Of course I have a huge respect for those who develope these figures but I also have a huge respect for my honesty! In this case, fault was mine. I was only rejecting a cartoonish painting and not seeing the good things that this figure can give us. Yes, we will probably never know how was the pattern of a real Andrew but a good painting is not only a pattern but mainly the life and realism and natural expression that it can give to a figure. Maybe because I'm used with the picture that inspired you I must say that the figure changed completly in my point of view. Now, I even can see the fantastic pose it has, your picture and painting gives the correct highlight to the pose and movement of this beast! Now I can say that I like Bullyland Andrew and that I'll replace my laugh for a smile! :) Congratulations Joan! cheers

Yeah, that's really a big improvement over the original. Great job. Now that the Bullylands are re-issued, they can all be repainted!
