My Hausser Elastolin soft-plastic collection

Now i want to show you my collection of Hausser Elastolin animals and other items, made in the so called soft-plastic, because they have a very soft kind of touch.
The were made in 2 scales, called the 54mm series, which are 1:32, and the 70mm series, which are about 1:24/25.
When not metioned, then the figurine is 54mm.
They were hand-painted, and the paint was very easy to scrub of, if you don't handle them carefully.
The main period that these models were produced were the 1970s, in which period i bought a lot as a child, and saved in to this period, most i a very good shape.
As there are many pics, i will do it in parts.
These are the items that i have from the zoo-animal and forest-animal collections.
I will put the farm items in another tread later on.

This brand and Britains were always the base for my complete collections right now.
I have these lines complete for about 80-85%.
But i am pretty sure, that i will complete the animal- lines in a time-span of 2-3 years.
But there are many animal-enclosures and zoo parts that i would like, the same for the farm-houses and barns, they made loads of them.

This brand has wonderfull models, from which i found in the 1970s, that they hade much better deetail ,then Britains for example.
Much nicer painting, and much more species too!

Then i saw Starlux...OMG!

Great collection, I love several of them, especially the fallow deer, most of the smaller scale fallow deer are just regular deer painted red with spots, that one has the flat horns, awsome model, the whole collection is wonderful, thanks for the pics.

In the seventies I was unaware of BRITAINS, the French market was overcrowded by STARLUX and stuff from foreign countries was'nt easily available I think.
There was so much frontier posts between our so small countries.
But I remember the HAUSSER ELASTOLIN because they were also produced in France by the OUGEN Co.
I still have in my mind the buffalos and the rhino family, they were fantastic in my child's eyes then. And they are sttill great now

Haha, yes it is hard to see what they are exactly, but since rhesusmonkees are more greyish, and at least one gibbon species has this colour, i decided to call them gibbon.

I wrote down what you are still missing my friend, and i hope i can find them for you!

Here in the Netherlands was Britains the main-brand, and i never saw any Starlux before 2002!
