| Safari is a great brand, they made these large figures to collectors with huge houses and those from toobs for collectors with houses like mine. Many great species and figures indeed. I think these are incredible but my favorite Safari figures are still those from Wild Safari series. I hope to see more unusual specis in WS, why not a golden tamarin and a pangolin? Congratulations! :) |

| Great animals Doc! I love especially VW figures However I agree with Roger that too many too big animal figures are hard to keep in small place But for some elephants I would do an exception :) _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection

| One more "problem " - there are LOTS of variations Just look at my two kitties [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Looking at the pictures of the lions in Gascher`s, the ones that were ( also) sold by Schleich in 1993, were quite different from the ones Safari made later on. Among orther things they were slimmer, and the shape of the paws and the head was different |

@ Roger and Susanne - I have a serious question for you people . So , you guys avoid acquiring bigger scaled animals just for the headache of space constraint ??? Doc, I love many of the large figures, actually I think I love all figures because all of them represent a mark in the history of animal toy replicas. But the space is a big problem here, you know Portugal is much smaller than India! Also I am a species collector, usually, a single figure for species is enough, it means that I prevent to collect lots of figures that I like. A good example [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] where you can see 3 great American black bears, I like all of them and also the Papo not on topic but I only need one. Of course money limitations are a problem here. Large figures are usually more expensive and there are some subjects that although I like I don't collect like dinosaurs and since Ana started with Mojo horses I also am enjoying a little more these figures, not only from Mojo but also the new Bullyland special edition, the Papo Barb and some other more. A good example is also these VW Safari figures. They are not accurate at all but they have a special thing that I cannot explain, maybe poses, I don't know, but they are expensive, hard to find and large. So out of my possibilities, I am very happy with what I can afford also with the help of friends of the forum and enjoying seeing these great figures finding someone that love them ! |

| Uhhh, I wished I had Roger`s willpower ! (Un)fortunately I have a house with some rooms that I don`t use very often...such as the guest room and my son´s room. So guests must sleep on the sofa and my son has to fight his way through boxes and animal toys to his bed when he comes to visit I have some huge, empty stables and barns also. But from bad experience I know that some models may get a musty smell if kept there, so that is a no-no. |

| Its funny looking at those lion cubs, one with the black eye-liner and the other without! The one without it is more of the recent variants.
I do agree with Safari Ltd having many different species and i love them for that. |
