Hi everyone!

I've seen life-sized dinosaur models at a few museums and in some of your posts. The San Diego Museum of Natural History has great examples. I've posted my photos below.

Cheers

Gosh ! They are SO huge Shocked

Fantastic idea of the museum, - mo matter how many drawings we see it is only such models that makes us realize just HOW large some of them were drunken

Wow, love these! Especially the lambeosaurus and the ankylosaurus! Wish we had something like these in our local natural history museum! That place looks so awesome *_*

Hi Coel - I don't know whether it was meant to be pregnant (or 'gravid' - the word for a female carrying eggs) or fat. I've just added to my original post that the T. rex roared as well as moved. It was probably enough to scare away little kids! affraid

i know exactly what you mean. we grow up "knowing" dinosaurs are "giant", but until you actually experience them life-sized and in context, it's just words. When i stood next to the Triceratops skull at the Smithsonian i was shocked at how big it really is. Tyrannosaurs are cool, but Triceratops are the coolest animal ever.

I think she's fat. All those slow pudgy primate-things that just walk right up to her, she must be eating them like popcorn. Wink

Hi Christophe - You must have read my mind! I was going to post a new topic 'William Stout murals' with my photos of them, which I've just done. I hope you like them!
